Located at Sahara and the Strip, World's Largest Gift Shop is easily accessible from the Strip and Downtown. History?
As the old Conquistador wandered into the oasis for a well deserved drink of water, he stumbled upon an ancient object half buried in the red dirt of the valley floor. He bent over, the heat of the sun burning his back, and making the salty sweat run into his eyes. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand. He reached down and picked up the object. It was very difficult to figure out what it was, he had no knowledge of the area or what to expect and now with this strange ancient thing in his hand he was even more confused. He sat down heavily beside the artesian spring and drank, and then looked at the thing in his hands. He never did figure out what it was, so he scratched his name on it and reburied it and left to go back to California. Hundreds of years later while resurfacing the parking lot in front of Bonanza, World's Largest Gift Shop, the object was found again. Heck, we don't know what it is either, but it sure gives the place a sense of history!
